I’ve had two big pointing jobs done recently. One with O’Neill and one with another builder. O’Neill is the company you want to go with. This job involved the rear of a three storey Victorian block, including chimneys and side passages with difficult access. The work covered repointing of all brickwork, chimney flaunching, groove cutting in window sills, and finishing the reveals. Zack is a perfectionist. For example, a supplier delivered sand with grit that was too coarse and some of it had gone into the wall before he spotted it. He let me know, removed the affected mortar, sourced the correct sand, and redid the work at his own expense. When the scaffolders caused an expensive problem, he fixed it, again without passing it on. He wouldn’t finish the job until both he and I were happy. He even insisted on dyeing the soldier course so that the finish looked exactly right, despite this work being at the back of the property. He was right, it looks great. The work was finished in great time and to a high standard. Zack is the most honest and trustworthy builder I’ve worked with. His team were polite, tidy, hardworking, and generally good lads. The price was one of the best quotes we had – sensible and realistic. Not the cheapest, but excellent value, with no corners cut. I would not hesitate to recommend O’Neill.
